Indicator Bollinger BandWidth - a numerical difference between the upper band and the lower value Bollinger bands. With increasing volatility Bollinger bands become wider, BandWidth indicator value will also increase. With decreasing volatility Bollinger bands become closer, and the value BandWIdth indicator will decrease. BandWidth indicator shows a decrease and an increase in volatility.

Usually used to find the time of low volatility when the breakdown begins when the price moves to one of the Bollinger Bands. If volatility continues to increase, and the price remains at the same band, it may signal a trend, as the channel of the Bollinger band becomes wider.

You can change the input parameters in accordance with the indicator Bollinger Bands, included in the standard delivery of MetaTrader. Input parameters:

• BandPeriods: the number of periods for calculation of the moving average in the middle of the Bollinger Bands.


• Deviations: number of standard deviations used to calculate the upper and lower Bollinger bands.
